@truf : about contributing to symbian: I just don’t see it, as I don’t see SE investing anything now on Symbian (I really think they will le UIQ die…but this is my guess)

@DarkQueen: sorry if this is what you understood: there is no security in flahttp://www.visionmobile.com/blog/wp-content/themes/VMv2/images/comment-form-submit.gifsh, but capuchin is bringing the built-in security of java/j2me to flash…so yes capuchin seems secure

Great idea by SonyEricsson. When will we have Capuchin applications to try out on phones? How do they attract FL community to this track?

Thanks for a good overview. I completetly agree with your statement that proprietary APIs are not a problem. They should be seen as enablers for the products they are targeting. Developers can always choose not to use them. They usually only appear when there are no standard APIs for the same functionality. With several stalled APIs in JCP due to legal reasons (BenQ, Qishda) I expect we will see more proprietary APIs soon.

Regarding reuse, I think code resuse is overrated. Reuse of specs, requirements, test specs, test setups, and potentially architecture and design is easier and more important.
