Syed, thanks for the kind words.

We haven't done any dedicated research on mobile advertising unfortunately - and it's a hugely overhyped area.

For an analysis of voice innovation have a look at:
http://www.visionmobile.com/blog/2009/03/voice-a-new-platform-for-innovation/

For a (slightly outdated) review of mobile application stores and a (very important) analysis of the key ingredient behind the app store recipe see:
http://www.visionmobile.com/blog/2008/11/the-mobile-application-store-phenomenon/

Cheers,

Hi Sundar.

If you are referring to enterprise applications, I don't think app stores are as applicable, as there are established channels for promoting and installing device applications. For enterprise customers it's sufficient to have a catalogue of applications (via deal between SI or channel partner and application developer) rather than a full-blown app store.

Andreas
Excellent view point from Telecom Service providers and Device vendors. In terms of Enterprise Appplications for Consumers, retailers and Manufacturing industry there is a great potential to consider "Mobile" channel and implement quick & easy to access applications.

How do you see the role of App Stores in this area?

Excellent work, thanks to Vision Mobile Team to release this much anticipated report.

But bit disappointed and hope you may throw some light on other areas as well:

Mobile Advertisement – the myth and reality – what’s working and what’s not ( we know tons of information available, but we need something of your style, crisp, to the point and not the hype )

Emerging Mobile voice trend – trends in embedded SIP APIs and its impact to mobile operators, something not many talking about deeply

Deep dive into appstore concept - iPhone’s appstore is good but Vision Mobile must expose the reality check.

Thanks, appreciate your efforts.
