Developer Economics goes AppNation

After delivering a very well received presentation of Developer Economics 2010 at Mobile Monday London last month (even if we do say so ourselves), VisionMobile Associate Eli Camilleri is ready to storm the AppNation conference.
The conference, held in San Francisco between September 13 &14, focuses on social and mobile apps across all devices & platforms, as well as the role of technology as an enabler.

Our Developer Economics Blog Series, based on the Developer Economics 2010 and Beyond research (free copy here) will soon be available in Chinese.

VisionMobile publishes Developer Economics 2010

We have just published Developer Economics 2010, a global research examining all aspects of mobile development, from app design and coding to market delivery and monetisation.

The report is based on a survey of 400+ developers, across all 8 major platforms: iOS (iPhone), Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Phone, Java ME, Flash/Flash Lite, mobile web.

VisionMobile Names Top 15 Mobile Software Product

We have just issued a press release naming the top 15 mobile software products for 2009, in terms of cumulative shipments. These products represent the top half of the 30 products featured in the 100 Million Club, the watchlist of mobile software products embedded in more than 100 million devices. The 15 products included in our press release have all been embedded in more than 500 million devices as of the end of 2009, while 7 of them have been shipped in more than 1 billion. Developer Survey: Draw for prizes May 14

Our Mobile Developer Survey has now closed. The results will be available for download around the end of the month. We would like to thank all the people who supported the survey and helped spread the word, as well as everyone who took the time to participate. Magma VC presents Mobile Megatrends '10 in Israel

VisionMobile Research Director, Andreas Constantinou, has been invited to present our Mobile Megatrends 2010, in an invite-only event organised by Magma VC in Tel Aviv, on Wednesday May 5. Mobile Trends 2020

m-trends.org, one of the most popular blogs on the mobile industry, has been making predictions on future trends for some time now. This year, m-trends called on some of the people that have influenced industry perceptions, asking them to write their five most significant trends for the coming decade. VisionMobile's Andreas Constantinou, one of the industry influencers invited to join this event, shared his own predictions for the future of mobile, including the future of operators, app stores and open source economics. Cybercom’s seminar on Mobile Megatrends

Andreas Constantinou is the invited speaker in the seminar on Mobile Megatrends 2010, organised by Cybercom. The seminar will take place in Malmö on the 4th of February.
The megatrends to be presented include vertical handset+services propositions, monetization strategies for software companies, web operating systems, open source platforms and mobile app stores.
